Our Future Missionaries

Elder Taylor and Elder Robinson

Elder Robinson, Elder Stark, Brother Tirado and Elder Shaffer
Elder Cash and Elder Brown
Our ward had a missionary activity for the young men and young women. The first week they got their calls (Connor went to Venezuela and Parker went to Peru) the second week they had MTC night - the third week was P-day and the fourth week was dinner at a members house and sharing a discussion with the family. Todd, Quincy and I hosted Elder Brown and Elder Cash. Connor went to the Clawson's and Parker went to the Tirado's. It turned out to be a great experience. Elder Cash and Elder Brown had been called to Ireland so we had Corned Beef and Cabbage and Todd played the part of an Irishman complete with the accent. We talked about Irish facts and then if the Elders could remember some of the facts Todd gave them some of the Leprechauns gold coins (chocolate of course) We enjoyed the experience and are grateful for those leaders who put it all together.

Updates

Austin is finally leaving Sarasota after serving there for 7 1/2 months. He and his district had a party to celebrate reaching their baptism goals and they chose a Beach BBQ and volleyball. Guess who else was using the beach that day - Yes, you're right if you guessed all the Spring Breakers. What a fun way to celebrate. His new area is Bradenton. He was also made ZL.
Bennett was also transferred to West Palm Beach. Here they are in their new digs. His companion is Elder Seely from Friendswood, Texas (he is the tall one on the right) The other elders living there are Elder Orton (on Bennetts left) and Elder Ostler.

Parker with his new bass guitar and Ryan. Parker is excited about his new toy and has already made up a nice bass tune!

Represent

I just had to share this picture - it makes me smile. Austin and one of the Elders in his district(Elder Long) are dressed to represent the West. They look pretty good with the hat, sun glasses, t-shirt complete with bass kickin' and BIG racks, big belt buckle and jeans and THEN..............Flip Flops! Funny Elders.

An Awesome Day!

Connor would spend every day and and every cent he had on fishing - he actually does! On Saturday Todd took him to Pineview to learn a few tricks from Hal (one of Todd's co-workers). They all had a great time and caught a few fish.
Bennett's latest baptism
Elder Cotteral, Hector and Elder Robinson -
It's good to see these young men and women finding those who they have been sent to teach. What a great blessing a mission is to all of us involved!
