Fall 2010 Stake Leadership Training

L to R: Angie Toone (Secretary), Alisa Trese (2nd Counselor), Me (1st counselor), Janna Wallace (President)
What sweet ladies to work with and have as friends.
This is a picture of our table - thank heavens the other ladies have great decorations - The bible is Angie's and has been in her family for more than a hundred years. The theme for 2011 is "I KNOW THE SCRIPTURES ARE TRUE"
Can't wait to see all the fun sharing times, activities and programs that the different wards come up with. I was so impressed and amazed at what great ideas these ladies taking care of our children in primary have. I can't help but love this calling!

Halloween, Girls Weekend and A BIG Fish

Today Quincy and Todd cut and stacked a bunch of wood (this is just some of what they did). We love our wood burning stove and use it as much as we can in the winter. There is nothing better than a fire to warm your hands and cheer the room.
Bring on the cold old man winter! (As if he listens to what I have to say)
Quincy was a little witch for Halloween. She tried to get Hannah to pose with her but it looks more like she is trying to choke her. Quincy had a good time in Koosharem with her cousins for Halloween. We went to the carnival and trick or treating too. She loved every minute of it.

For girls weekend we did facials and makeup. We dipped and decorated caramel apples and had good food and great company. Such fun! I made my mom, sisters and sisters in law scarves. Love those smiling faces.

That's a BIG fish!

For Quincy

This post is for Quincy, her mind has been on her brothers a lot this last week and I'm not sure if its the holiday season that is bringing it on or just her memory being jogged by some home videos. She came home last week and asked if I knew the song that talked about missionaries in a foreign field. It took me a minute to figure out that she meant Viva La Vida by Cold Play. In the song it does say something about missionaries in a foreign field so on Sunday morning I pulled it up on the Internet and she listened to it 8 or 9 times and has been singing it all day. These pictures are some that Quincy took with her little camera so they are kind of grainy but they show the brothers she misses so much and cant wait for to come home. Quincy told me to guess what she wants for Christmas and of course I couldn't so she told me; she just wants her brothers to come home! So I had to explain that if they came home for Christmas they would not be happy so we'll just have to wait until a little while after Valentines Day and a little after Easter. She seems to understand that better than the names of the months. She is a loving little girl and a bright little sun in our days! I added the song to my play list so she can hear it once in a while too!

A Happy Birthday

Happy #7 to our little sweetheart!
We partied all weekend with her, starting with a friend party on Friday after school. She is dressed as the red queen. We played games with a treasure hunt then ate all red food and cream puffs (her favorite).
The Red Queen Cake!
from Lee's (I can't make red frosting)

We spent Saturday at Lagoon
The first ride was the lady bug drop - Mom doesn't ride that one, but dad does.

Mom just rides the spinney ones! This is one of our new favorites - the Chinese Dragon
(Between the two of us she got to ride everything she wanted!)
It was the perfect day for Lagoon - Cool temps and short lines!
Happy 7th Birthday Sweetie!

This is one exhausted girl after her first day of 1st grade. But, she is happy and loves her teacher.
IT'S GONNA BE A GREAT YEAR!

Yes, I pulled her tooth. I didn't want to but she couldn't stand it anymore so I held her head and grabbed a hold and yanked and it didn't come so I tried it again and YEAH it came out! Now we just have 21 to go.

At the baptism of Emanuel Garcia. Austin said he was a real trooper and went around telling everyone that he was going to be a missionary and was starting to prepare now!
Just look at that sweet, newly baptized, face!

Finally succeeded!

Those darn little builders finally did it! Here is the nest a pair of robins built in the twiggy wreath on our front door! I felt bad taking it down and the little robins were not happy when they couldn't find it. But who wants a pair of robins flying in their face every time you open the door? NOT ME!

A New baby sister

Quincy has been asking for a baby sister for years, SO............................ We borrowed one. She loved holding her, feeding her a bottle, and entertaining her with toys, but then she had to go home. We both had fun tending her for a while.
