RMT Family Reunion 2009

It's been several years since we've had a Reuben and Opal Torgersen(RMT) Reunion, so on July 24th and 25th we traveled to Koosharem to be a part of over 200 family members getting to know each other again. It was good to see cousins that I haven't seen for years. The reunion was held on Indian Peak, a favorite camping spot of Grandpa Reuben's and Grandma Opal's.
Quincy guessed the right amount of candy in the jar and won it!!

Some dirty, but cute little boys

Russ and Mom

Chet was the lucky one?? who was asked to tell a story about our grandparents
Homemade scones were a favorite part of one of the meals. It rained while they were cooking them so Jen stood holding umbrellas keeping the rain out of the hot oil!

There were fun games
crafts

tears

and giggles
It turned out to be a great weekend!!!

Our Uintah Trip

Our family took a camping trip to the Uintahs last week. The weather was so nice and we all had a good time. Quincy and I are not too excited about hiking and fishing but we found some pretty wildflowers and wove a beautiful garland for Quincy to wear.

Hiking with dad

At Wall Lake. There were no fish but there was beautiful scenery!
Parker found a rock shaped like Utah
Connor caught an Artic Grayling. He was pretty excited about it!
On our way home we stopped to look at the Provo River falls.
BEAUTIFUL!!!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple and Hollyhocks

Todd and I took Connor Parker and Quincy to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house yesterday. It is a small but beautiful temple. Mine and Quincy's favorite part was the chandeliers in the sealing and celestial rooms. They are shaped like a star.

These are my hollyhocks! I love them. It has taken me 2 years to get any because Hannah (the dog) ate my first starts making me have to start over. They are beautiful and the best part for me is that they come back and spread every year!!!!
